The ever-controversial Ms. California 2009, Carrie Prejean is once again the talk of the town. She was actually scheduled to be a guest at Larry King Live on May 14 but it was apparent that she was not able to attend. Larry King himself told the viewers that Ms. California’s people called and she would not be able to make an appearance for the show. Many were not amused especially when they learned that the reason why she was not able to attend was because she partied too hard.
Carrie Prejean celebrated her 22nd birthday on May 13 in Atlanta and she was scheduled to sit down and talk to Larry King in the Los Angeles studio. Several hours before the show, her rep told the people at Larry King Live that she is very tired. She took a flight that is just at the same time when Larry’s show aired. Paula Shugart was the one who made a call to the CNN people. Shugart is the Miss Universe Organization president at the moment. She told the executives that Prejean was very exhausted due to the fact that she travels a lot in the past few days.
Larry King only stated in his show that Miss Prejean canceled her appearance late in the afternoon. The veteran host did not provide further explanation regarding the topic. In addition to all the rumors surrounding the beauty queen, there are sources that stated that Carrie will be one of the hosts of FOX and Friends in late May. However, TMZ reported that Carrie has not asked permission from the pageant organizers. This is another issue since Donald Trump has just announced that anyone who does this kind of mistake makes a direct violation of the pageant’s ground rules.
The issue about Miss California started when she stated her opinion in gay marriage in the Miss USA coronation night. No one really cared when Kristen Dalton who represented North Carolina won the title. This was because Carrie stole the attention. She was asked by the then judge, Perez Hilton who is famous for blogging Hollywood gossips about same sex marriage. Carrie answered that she strongly believes in “opposite marriage” and thus, she lost Perez’s vote for her winning the crown. However, she was the first runner up in the pageant.
The whole thing scorched up when Perez made a video of his reaction to Carrie’s answer and even called her dumb. Prejean then made a guest appearance on the Billy Bush Show where she cleared the rumors and told the viewers that her sister is actually a gay rights activist. In addition, she also admitted that she supports gay marriage as well as the gay community and yet her sister is not upset with her reply to the question of Perez Hilton.
There are also some gossips going around that she can lose her title as Miss California but Donald Trump stood firm for the lady and insisted that she will remain as the title holder.
