What with attempted break-ins and break-ups, poor Lindsay has not had much fortune of late.

Well at least, police officers have attended the former. Police rushed to the house of Lindsay in Los Angeles expecting to catch an intruder – but instead, they were faced by something that is much scarier – the property is looked as if an intruder had ransacked the area.

The LAPD has recently released the CCTV images of the attempted burglary at Lindsay Lohan’s home in Hollywood Hills on Tuesday afternoon, May 12, 2009.

The surveillance video showed a masked man, with face obscured because of a baseball cap and a bandanna, getting out of a car and heading into the back garden of Lindsay’s home.

Police authorities believe that the man then attempted to pry open a back door and a window, as the driver of the Dodge Magnum station wagon waited and stayed inside the car.

However, the alarm was triggered and their attempt was not successful. The two then drove off in the car that bore custom wheels and paper plates.

In a statement, an LAPD spokesperson said that: “On May 12, 2009, a pair of burglars attempted to break into a home in the Hollywood Hills during broad daylight and their images were caught on surveillance video. The Los Angeles Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating those suspects as well as the vehicle.”

When police authorities arrived at Lindsay’s home, the investigating officers met an appalling scene.

Her apartment was seemed like that it had been ransacked, but further forensic examination revealed that the mess was in fact left that way by Lindsay who is not home at that time.

The LAPD’s finest discovery is that no one has entered Lindsay’s home and nothing has been stolen.

However, officer Karen Rayner stated that place was very messy up to the extent that they were forced to contact Lindsay – who happened to be in Paris when the incident occurred – and asked her if: “Is it normally like this, or did intruders do it?” How embarrassing isn’t it? Maybe Lindsay did not think for even one second that her tardiness will become a common knowledge.

However, with Lindsay’s return to Los Angeles on Wednesday, May 13, 2009, she did not look particularly concerned.

Instead, Lindsay hit the tiles, heading to the trendy Hollywood nightclub, Bardot, in the early hours the following day, May 14, 2009, Thursday.

Meanwhile, Lindsay revealed that she plans of moving to London in order to help her get over her breakup with Sam Ronsom.

Lindsay hopes that the new start in London will be able to keep her out of the limelight.
She said that, “I like London, people aren’t as judgmental. It’s more about the fashion or music industry, not about movies and movie stars. It’s a different scene. I want to be on my own for a while. I didn’t get into this business to be a celebrity. I’ve been a target for a long time.”
